Sonia Riaz Hussain

Sonia Riaz Hussain is the Director Academics and the Director Centre for Global Research (CGR). In addition, she is the supervisor for the Dissertation Module of the University of London LLB International Programme. Ms Hussain is the Internal Verifier for the Diplomas of Law of the ATHE Programme being run at ICLS.

She has been working with the University of London Programmes as a legal academic since 2007 and is one of the few University of London Worldwide Recognised Tutors in Pakistan. Ms Hussain has also been an active part of the Providers Conferences held by the University of London.

She has worked and researched on projects with Child Soldiers International and Deighton Pierce Glynn in the UK. Ms Hussain has also worked on a project with the American Bar Association, attended a training programme for Law Professors at the Arizona State University in Phoenix, and the McCain Institute for International Leadership in Washington.

She completed her LLM (International and Comparative Commercial Law) from SOAS, UK. She has worked as the In-house Legal Counsel for Warid Telecom (Pvt) Ltd and the Punjab Healthcare Commission, Pakistan. Ms Hussain is a licensed Advocate of the High Court She was admitted as a member of the Punjab Bar Council in 2006 and is currently a licensed Advocate of the High Court in Pakistan. Moreover, she is a partner at Expertos Legales, Advocates and Consultants, Pakistan.

Ms Hussain is also an accredited Civil-Commercial Mediator with ADR-ODR International, UK, also accredited by Singapore International Mediation Institute (SIMI) and the Civil Mediation Council (CMC), UK. She helps in the management of the International Centre for Dispute Resolution. She is also involved in the trainings taking place and plays an active role in managing the trainings.
