- You are eligible for the LLM award upon completion of 16 modules from 4 courses (5 towards PG Cert, 5 towards PG Dip and an additional 6).
You may choose a specialisation or keep it general. If you choose to specialise, you need to study a minimum number of courses or modules within your specialist pathway. The number depends on the qualification you are working towards.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- You are eligible for the LLM award upon completion of 16 modules from 4 courses (5 towards PG Cert, 5 towards PGDip and in Additional 6)
In addition to satisfying the English Language requirement, you normally need one of the following:
- A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with second-class honours from the University of London.
- A second-class bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), where at least half the units are in law-related subjects.
- A second-class bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), where at least half the units are in law-related subjects.
- A pass in the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) of England and Wales, or the Qualifying Exam of the Solicitors’ Regulation Authority of England plus a second-class bachelor’s degree.
- The Common Professional Examination or a Graduate Diploma in Law, plus a second-class bachelor’s degree.
- Qualification as a solicitor or barrister in England or Wales, or the equivalent elsewhere.
