Daraab Wali Furqan

Bar at Law (UK) | Advocate High Court

Daraab Wali Furqan is a Barrister-at-Law and Partner at Crown 1207 LLP, a boutique corporate law firm in Pakistan. Called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple, Daraab has over a decade of experience across litigation, corporate advisory, and legal education. At ICLS, he teaches Civil Litigation to students enrolled in the Bar Transfer Test (BTT) conducted by the Bar Standards Board of England and Wales.
Daraab’s legal practice informs his teaching. As a partner, he advises clients including listed companies, telecom ventures, and fintech start-ups on a range of matters including regulatory compliance, investment structuring, and dispute resolution. His court experience includes appearances before the High Courts of Pakistan in matters spanning company, banking, labour, and intellectual property law. This real-world grounding allows him to offer students practical insight alongside doctrinal instruction.
In addition to his work at ICLS, Daraab teaches BTT subjects, including Evidence, Legal Research, Professional Ethics, Contract, and Property Law, at International College for Legal Studies (ICLS). His students have consistently achieved high distinctions, a reflection of his student-focused and outcome-driven teaching approach.
Beyond the classroom and courtroom, Daraab has contributed to legal reform in Punjab as part of a task force constituted under the Lahore High Court for civil procedure reforms. He is also a published legal researcher, with interests in cross-border insolvency, corporate governance, and administrative law.
At ICLS, Daraab blends academic depth with professional experience to prepare students for success in the BTT and beyond. His teaching reflects ICLS’s core values: excellence in legal education, global standards, and practical readiness for the modern legal landscape.
