What is CERTHE
The Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law (CertHE) Common Law is a one-year program offered by the University of London (UoL) and its recognized teaching centers, designed as an entry point for students who may not have the typical qualifications for a degree but possess the potential and maturity to study at a degree level. It serves as both a qualification in its own right and an access route to the UoL’s LLB (Hons) degree program.
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for the University of London’s Certificate of Higher Education in Common Law (CertHE Common Law), you generally need to be at least 18 years old by the registration date and admitted to a course of instruction at a teaching center recognized by the University of London. Specific entry requirements may vary slightly between teaching centers, but typically include a minimum age and acceptance into their CertHE program.
- Age Requirement:
You must be 18 years of age or older on the registration date, which is typically November 1st for the University of London.
- Teaching Centre Admission:
You need to be admitted to a CertHE Common Law course at an institution that has been granted “Permission to Teach” status by the University of London.
- Academic Qualifications:
In order to be admitted in CERTHE programme university of London requires a minimum intermediate F.A/FSC/IB/High School Diploma or equivalent qualifications.
4. Admission Criteria
All applicants must sit an online admissions test and attend an interview with ICLS staff. Test includes 4 questions: 3 legal scenario-based + 1 motivational.
