ICLSMUN’22

International College for Legal Studies in collaboration with PDF organised its first Model United Nations competition (ICLS MUN ’22) from the 4th to the 6th of March.

Students participated as representatives of different countries, organisations and political personalities, solving pressing ongoing issues along with other representatives. It helped the delegates to enhance their research, public speaking, debating and writing skills. But more importantly, ICLS MUN ’22 helped students develop skills like critical thinking, teamwork and leadership.

The intense three-day competition was followed by an exciting and energising qawwali night and a formal dinner. Shields and certificates were distributed amongst the best delegates.

Technology for Justice Forum

Ms Sarah Tarar, Dean International College for Legal Studies, Ms Seemin Ahmed, Deputy Director ICLS and Mr Moghees Uddin Khan, Associate Director ICLS along with students were invited to be a part of Pakistan’s first Technology for Justice Forum, organized by Vakeel Online on behalf of Justice Project Pakistan on the 5th of March 2022.

The event was was one of a kind gathering of key private sector investors, Pakistani thought leaders including senior government stakeholders, International actors, legal practitioners, and academics.The aim of legaltech is to improve transparency, accountability and efficiency of Pakistan’s Legal system.

The key panelists and speakers included SC Justice Ijaz ul-Ahsan, Senator Walid Iqbal, Punjab Minister of IT Raja Yasir, Faisal Aftab, Beau Seil, Sarah Belal, Isfundiar Kasuri, Taimur Malik, Huma Ejaz Zaman, Muhammad Ahmad Pansota and Nida Usman. Ramla Baig was the presenter and Vishal Shakir and Abdul Ghani were part of the organising team.

Qawali Night

International College for Legal Studies was extremely honoured to host the scintillating Zain and Zohaib for yet another qawali night at ICLS MUN ’22. The event took place on the eve of 5th March 2022 and was attended by our esteemed guests as well as delegates from different schools and universities from all over Lahore. We wanted our delegates to have the best experience possible after a long day of continuous deliberations, and the soulful music by Zain and Zohaib achieved exactly that!
